ADULT COUNSELING

I understand reaching out for help takes courage and bravery. I believe that we all need support in our lives to navigate the inevitable difficulties that arise. I hope to create a safe and empathetic space for you as you go through life’s challenges. I have experience working with children and adults who have experienced sexual abuse, partner abuse, grief and loss, and other forms of trauma. My goal as your therapist is to help you to gain confidence as you work through difficult situations. No issue is too big or too small.

I graduated from The University of Memphis with a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2017. Since graduating, my clinical experience has included working with children and adults at the Shelby County Crime Victims and Rape Crisis Center, providing group and individual counseling to those who have been impacted by violent crime. I have also worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, and self-esteem issues.

I utilize several trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing therapy, Trauma-Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and mindfulness techniques. I work from a culturally considerate, LGBTQIA+ affirming perspective. I am a licensed practitioner in the state of TN #5881.

I consider it a great privilege to hear my clients’ stories and walk with them on their journey of hope and healing.  I encourage you to book a 15-minute consultation to see if I’m the right fit. I look forward to meeting you!

COUPLES, ADOLESCENT, AND ADULT COUNSELING

Navigating an interracial relationship can present unique challenges and opportunities for growth. As a therapist experienced in working with interracial couples, I understand the importance of acknowledging and addressing cultural differences and the impact of societal attitudes. We will build communication skills, cultural competence, and validation techniques in session. Together, we can create a supportive environment where both partners feel heard, respected, and valued, fostering a deeper connection and mutual understanding.

Processing traumatic events can be difficult at any age. I get it. I know you want to move forward, but may struggle with flashbacks, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. We can work together so you have the skills to cope with the events that have led you here. In my office, you will feel valued and comforted in knowing you have landed with a therapist who values who you truly are and recognizes your strengths. Wherever you are on the journey of overcoming the past, know I will be there to ensure you aren't alone.

I thrive when working with individuals and couples who are looking to find their purpose, explore their identity, establish self-worth/self-esteem, process divorce, heal from abuse (physical, emotional, neglect, & narcissistic), and deeper their connections. In my free time, I love to go to Disney World, try to keep my plants alive, go to spin class, and thrift.

I can't wait to meet you and be a part of your supportive circle.

COUPLES AND ADULT COUNSELING

Sometimes we find ourselves enduring things we never imagined we'd be dealing with. In those times we need a place to heal, process, and move through that potential struggle. My time with you is a place to authentically show up as who you are today, and safely meet the person you want to be tomorrow. As your therapist, my goal is to ensure that you feel supported in your journey through healing - whether that’s processing past traumas, navigating current situations, experiencing shifts in identity, or anything else life throws at you. Together, we can collaborate to address these patterns of behavior that feel disruptive in order to give you stronger emotional regulation and contentment in your day-to-day life.

Memphis is my hometown, and I worked at the Shelby County Crime Victims & Rape Crisis Center for six years. In my work with survivors I provided individual and group counseling to victims of crime in our community. In addition to working with trauma, I also have extensive experience working with people struggling with grief, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, work-related stressors, burnout, identity issues, and LGBTQ+ stress. I am certified to provide a Surgical Readiness Letter for individuals seeking gender affirming surgery. In my work with couples, I focus on the relationship as a whole to help both parties recognize differences in communication to strengthen the overall connection. As a queer therapist, it is incredibly important to me to create a space that feels comfortable for all clients, regardless of identity.

My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, meaning I meet people where they are to help them gain the most effective change from this process. When we experience trauma, the stress remains stored in our bodies, impacting our energy and how we move through the world. Big or small, any distressing incident can leave an imprint of trauma that slowly pulls from your energy, your joy, and your ability to connect with others (and sometimes this happens right under our noses, without our consent). If you’ve had a distressing event that you carry discomfort from, then you deserve a safe space to understand it, release it, and grow. And it would be my honor to make that journey with you. If you think I might be a good fit for you, then please feel free to book a 15-minute consultation!

ADOLESCENT AND ADULT COUNSELING (PRACTICE OWNER)

I’ve come to accept that during our lives, at some point (more accurately multiple points), things will fall apart. At these crossroads, we have two options: let it sink and stunt us or courageously navigate through the challenging process of healing. I would argue that there is nothing more valuable than doing deep inner work that transforms our lives for the better. I am a licensed professional counselor and work with older teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stressors that come with life transitions, relationship issues, and self-esteem and identity concerns, among many other difficulties.

I have experience and training in a variety of therapeutic approaches for a range of mental health concerns. While I tailor my work to each client individually, my general approach to therapy is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic/relational, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, inner child, and mindfulness techniques. I am trained in Level 1 of Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and am eager to use my training to assist individuals with a history of childhood and complex trauma.

I desire to help every client reconnect to their true authentic selves and be in complete alignment with their lives.

CHILD AND ADOLESCENT COUNSELING

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and no one should have to navigate it alone. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for adolescents to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and a DBT-informed approach, I support adolescents in developing healthier coping skills, increasing psychological flexibility, strengthening support and connection, and building resilience. When helpful, I also work with teens and families to improve communication, deepen understanding, and navigate conflict in more effective ways.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Memphis in 2024 and have experience working in acute inpatient settings with children, adolescents, and adults. I have provided individual, group, and family counseling, with much of my work focused on supporting individuals and families during periods of significant distress and helping them identify meaningful next steps toward healing and recovery.

I believe having a safe place to talk through the ups and downs of life is an essential part of the human experience. I see therapy as a space where connection and understanding can grow, helping young people build confidence, hope, and a sense of well-being.

CHILD, ADOLESCENT, ADULT, AND FAMILY COUNSELING

Therapy is like exercise for your mental health and emotions. Sometimes we need to practice certain exercises more than others in order to keep our muscles in shape or strengthen new muscles. Therapy works the same way, learning and practicing skills such as communication, self regulation, boundaries, and self love. I believe anyone can benefit from therapy, whether it is to focus on specific issues such as anxiety, depression, managing stressors, or processing past traumas, or for maintenance of your skills and putting them into practice. Through practice and self reflection, we gain a deeper understanding of the way our minds and emotions work and how they can best serve us.

I value collaborative efforts in the therapy space, with my main goal being to create a safe space for you to engage in therapy. My general approach as a clinician is to draw from several therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral, relational, mindfulness, systems focused, and solution focused modalities.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with additional education and knowledge in the public health space. I use trauma informed and person centered practices to meet clients where they are at in their own mental health journey. I have experience working in the hospital setting (inpatient and outpatient), and have specialized in perinatal mental health, family systems, and substance use and addiction. I was a long time athlete (including college) and know how your mental health can affect your game. I also have personally benefited from the positive effects of therapy and pieces of that journey fuel me to create a positive space for others to experience that same benefit.

I would be honored to guide you in your mental health journey and assist you in your healing.
